Dynamics

High-Performance M TwinPower Turbo 6-cylinder petrol engine.

The M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder petrol engine with 405 kW (550 hp) features superior power delivery and the striking characteristic M engine sound.

CS specific driving dynamics.

From specific springs, anti-roll bars, damping elements and control arms to traction control: The BMW M3 CS is made for the race track.

Reduced weight.

For more agile driving, plastic components reinforced with carbon fibre (CFRP) and intelligent lightweight construction reduce weight by approx. 20 kg compared to the BMW M3 Competition with M xDrive.

Exterior

Bonnet and carbon front splitter.

The bonnet with visible carbon and the front splitter made of carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) significantly reinforce the performance-oriented appearance of the BMW M3 CS.

BMW Laserlight with yellow icons.

The M Laserlight makes the high-beam headlights shine particularly far and is reminiscent of GT racing cars with its bright yellow icons.

M Carbon rear spoiler.

The M Carbon rear spoiler reinforces the contact pressure on the road on faster journeys and increases your control of the BMW M3 CS. In addition to its visual value as a racing reference, it generates more downforce at the rear axle and ensures a more stable and superior driving experience, especially during fast cornering manoeuvres.

Interior

M Carbon bucket seats.

The M Carbon bucket seat in bicolour Black/Red with contrast stitching combines the lightness and racing character of a bucket seat with the range of functions of an M sport seat.

Rear seat bench in Bicolour Black/Red.

The athletic presence of the exterior also carries through to the rear. The rear seat bench in a Black and Red Bicolour look is a real eye-catcher in the interior.

Carbon centre console with red CS badge.

The puristic, weight-optimised lightweight centre console made of carbon fibre highlights the vehicle's driving dynamic potential.

M Drive.

With M Drive you can configure your personal driving profiles with your own transmission shifting settings, engine, damper, steering and braking characteristics. Use the red M1/M2 buttons on your M leather steering wheel to activate your M Drive configurations.

M specific instrument cluster.

The M specific instrument cluster offers a particularly precise and focused display of driving data in the SPORT and TRACK modes.

BMW Live Cockpit Professional.

The BMW Live Cockpit Professional with curved display expands BMW Live Cockpit Plus with a practical, full-colour head-up display.

BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant.

The BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant is your personal vehicle expert. It allows you to operate numerous vehicle functions using natural language.

BMW Digital Key.

The BMW Digital Key turns your compatible smartphone^[1] into a vehicle key. To unlock, simply hold the smartphone next to the door handle; before starting your BMW place it on the smartphone tray. In addition, you can send a Digital Key to up to five friends.

^[1] The BMW Digital Key is compatible with selected smartphones only. A list of compatible smartphones is available at bmw.com/digitalkey. The use of BMW Digital Key requires the Teleservices equipment.

Remote Software Upgrade.

So your BMW is always up to date. Remote Software Upgrades can be downloaded via the My BMW App or in the vehicle and then installed.

Driver assistance systems

Driving Assistant Professional.

Driving Assistant Professional offers optimum comfort and safety during critical or monotonous traffic situations. Apart from the contents of the Driving Assistant, it also includes Steering and Lane Control Assistant with extended functions, Emergency Stop Assistant and Lane Keeping Assistant with active side collision protection.

Only available for BMW M3 Competition, M3, M340i xDrive, M340i and M340d xDrive.

Parking Assistant Plus.

Parking Assistant Plus makes parking and manoeuvring the vehicle easier. It features among others the Surround View system including Top View, Panorama View, Remote View 3D, as well as a lateral parking aid, the emergency braking function Active Park Distance Control, Parking Assistant with longitudinal and lateral guidance and Reversing Assistant.

Only available for BMW M3 Competition, M3, M340i xDrive, M340i and M340d xDrive.

M Drive Professional.

M Drive Professional is the perfect companion for trips with that extra dose of adrenaline. The M TRACK mode and the ten-stage M Traction Control enable tailored drivability, the M Drift Analyser records drift angles and duration and the M Laptimer helps you chase the perfect lap.

Only available for BMW M3 CS, M3 Competition and M3.

Disclaimer

The values of fuel consumptions, CO2 emissions and energy consumptions shown were determined according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version applicable at the time of type approval. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers optional equipment and the different size of wheels and tires available on the selected model.

The CO2 efficiency specifications are determined according to Directive 1999/94/EC and the European Regulation in its current version applicable. The values shown are based on the fuel consumption, CO2 values and energy consumptions according to the NEDC cycle for the classification.

When charging times are shown they can be affected by a number of factors such as type of charger, voltage supplied to the charger/car and type of current (AC or DC) supplied to the charger/car. The car also plays a role in charging times as it can be set by the driver to accept various different amperage and should preconditioning be used to heat or cool the vehicle while charging this will also affect the charging time.

The basis for the calculation of the charging times for 100 km range is the electric consumption of the vehicle based on the use of a high-Powered Charging station (HPC) or charging type and current as indicted in the literature above. The testing procedure measures are based on a 23 degrees Celsius battery start and ambient temperature with certification values excluding additional auxiliary consuming devices and systems within the vehicle such as seat heating, displays, air conditioning.

Individual consumption (fuel economy) may differ due to driving profile, vehicle load profile, auxiliary consumer usage, temperature, and ambient conditions. Consumption is based on WLTP or NEDC (whichever is indicated) best case conditions and is independently tested for BMW Group. If you are comparing this range with other models or brands make sure they are stating the same WLTP or NEDC testing regime. These results can be used to compare vehicles on a close to “like for like” basis but are unlikely to be achieved in real world conditions for reasons including temperature variation, driving conditions and the use of the auxiliary systems referred to above.
