M SPECIFIC HEAD-UP DISPLAY

The full-colour BMW Head-Up Display incl. M specific display projects all information relevant to the journey directly into your field of vision, allowing you to fully concentrate on driving. Information such as the current speed and, depending on the equipment, navigation directions, Speed Limit Info, along with telephone and entertainment lists are displayed.

DRIVING ASSISTANT PROFESSIONAL

Driving Assistant Professional offers optimum comfort and maximum safety during lots of critical or monotonous driving situations with Steering and lane control assistant incl. support in narrow places, Emergency Stop Assistant, local hazard alert, Lane Keeping Assistant with active side collision protection and other safety functions.

The BMW Live Cockpit Professional with navigation function includes two high-quality displays consisting of a high-resolution 12.3" Control Display that can be operated by touch and a fully digital 12.3" instrument display.

Whether you are cruising comfortably or racing on a track, outstanding precision and agility constantly define the M typical driving sensation.

HIGH-PERFORMANCE M TWINPOWER TURBO 8-CYLINDER PETROL ENGINE

The latest version of the highperformance M TwinPower Turbo 8-cylinder petrol engine guarantees performance in keeping with the latest standards. The high-revving unit develops an output of 460 kW. The two turbochargers stand out thanks to their cross-cylinder bank exhaust manifold with optimum response characteristics. The V8 engine is also designed for extreme loads on the race track.

M xDRIVE

BMW M xDrive with Active M differential guarantees maximum traction and driving dynamics for everyday driving, as well as at the racetrack. The M specific technology combines the typical agility of a rearwheel drive with the control of an allwheel drive. You can choose between the two drive variants 4WD and 4WD Sport.

8-SPEED M STEPTRONIC TRANSMISSION

The 8-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic offers numerous shifting options: from extremely dynamic to particularly comfortable, and smooth to fuelsaving. You can shift manually using the gear lever or the gearshift paddles on the steering wheel, or put the vehicle into automatic mode and let the transmission do the work.

M COMPOUND BRAKE

Thanks to the use of various materials, M Compound brakes achieve outstanding deceleration values and are extremely stable and highly durable. They also weigh less, which has a positive impact on agility, dynamics and acceleration. The Blue metallic brake callipers with the M designation are the hallmark of these high-performance M specific brakes.

Nimbler than you expect from a car this size, the BMW’s enormously wide, 22 inch-tall rear tyres are like Shaquille O’Neal size 22 Reeboks in that they make unlikely feats of athleticism possible. It goes, stops and turns with surprising poise. Shockingly quick and surprisingly fun to steer, the X5 M is a cracker.

The values of fuel consumptions, CO2 emissions and energy consumptions shown were determined according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version applicable at the time of type approval. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers optional equipment and the different size of wheels and tires available on the selected model.

The CO2 efficiency specifications are determined according to Directive 1999/94/EC and the European Regulation in its current version applicable. The values shown are based on the fuel consumption, CO2 values and energy consumptions according to the NEDC cycle for the classification.

When charging times are shown they can be affected by a number of factors such as type of charger, voltage supplied to the charger/car and type of current (AC or DC) supplied to the charger/car. The car also plays a role in charging times as it can be set by the driver to accept various different amperage and should preconditioning be used to heat or cool the vehicle while charging this will also affect the charging time.

The basis for the calculation of the charging times for 100 km range is the electric consumption of the vehicle based on the use of a high-Powered Charging station (HPC) or charging type and current as indicted in the literature above. The testing procedure measures are based on a 23 degrees Celsius battery start and ambient temperature with certification values excluding additional auxiliary consuming devices and systems within the vehicle such as seat heating, displays, air conditioning.

Individual consumption (fuel economy) may differ due to driving profile, vehicle load profile, auxiliary consumer usage, temperature, and ambient conditions. Consumption is based on WLTP or NEDC (whichever is indicated) best case conditions and is independently tested for BMW Group. If you are comparing this range with other models or brands make sure they are stating the same WLTP or NEDC testing regime. These results can be used to compare vehicles on a close to “like for like” basis but are unlikely to be achieved in real world conditions for reasons including temperature variation, driving conditions and the use of the auxiliary systems referred to above.
